Local Fisherman Pulls Prized Atlantic Salmon Out Of Crystal Lake

Ellington resident Allan Andrews did not anticipate he would land a memorable fish story when he set out on his small kayak at Crystal Lake.

While paddling across Crystal Lake recently Andrews decided to cast a line and enjoy a little fishing along the way. What started as a peaceful afternoon quickly turned into an unforgettable battle after hooking into a beautiful Atlantic Salmon.

Andrews said he knew right away this fish was not a regular old Rainbow Trout.

According to Andrews, the salmon put up an impressive fight, pulling hard against the kayak and refusing to surrender without a struggle.

After an exciting back-and-forth on the water, Andrews finally reeled in the prized catch β€” a moment worthy of both a photo and a great local fishing story.

For local outdoor enthusiasts, it’s another reminder that you never quite know what’s waiting beneath the surface at Crystal Lake.
