Chihuahua mix found in Ellington. Can you help this little fella find his forever home?

The little chihuahua mix was found on Middle Butcher Rd in Ellington earlier this month. Despite extensive effort, the folks at Ellington Animal Control were unable to find his family. Beginning this Saturday, Jan 24, little "Luke" will be available for adoption.  Luke is a male, not neutered and he does have a few special needs so it is important that his "forever family" calls Barbara at EAC for more information.

If you would like to explore adoption options please call  Ellington Animal Control at 860-870-3155. More information here.

Take It Slow—and Start Early
After a major snowfall, it’s tempting to power through all at once. Instead, clear snow in stages to reduce strain and prevent ice from bonding to surfaces. Short breaks and proper lifting (bend at the knees, not the back) go a long way.

Shoveling & Equipment Basics
Use an ergonomic shovel if you have one, and push snow when possible rather than lifting. If using a snow blower, check for clogged chutes with a tool—never your hands—and be mindful of where snow is thrown.
